On March 1-2, 2017, the 33rd LocWorld was held in Shenzhen, China. This year's event followed the theme of "Continuous Delivery" and featured eight topics including Advanced Localization Management, Global Business, Global Network and Translation Automation. More than 500 representatives from industry giants such as Google, Alibaba and IBM attended the event. Global Tone Communication Technology Co., Ltd. On March 1, GTCOM Vice President Ying CHAI spoke on "Evolution of CAT Tools in the Era of Internet and Big Data: From Software to Platform" at the sub-forum "New Tendencies of CAT Tools: Summary and Assessment" organized by the prestigious Translation Automation User Society (TAUS). According to Ms. Chai, the translation industry today has shifted its focus to efficiency, accuracy and coherence which can be made possible through the development of information technology. She also introduced on GTCOM's independently-developed YeeKit platform, which featured lightness, massive corpora data, flexible collaboration and intelligent language asset management. It could significantly improve translation accuracy and efficiency with the power of machine translation. Moreover, as an international key product, YeeKit 4.0 offers more customized services than other common CAT tools available in the market. In the future, GTCOM will keep exploring in the big data and AI field to optimize and update YeeKit into a more accurate, efficient platform with visualized and customized services.
